Regarding your expisode wherein Gus regularly visits your room to lie down nightly on the extra cot you provide in your room, my suggestion is that you set up the cot in his room and lie down with him at appropriate times...to see what his reaction might be. Or, if you leave his room door open slightly at night and provide some of his favorite listening music when he retires - to see what his reaction might be...Or have him to go to bed with more light than a night light provides..there again to see what his reaction or the results might be.
